Subtitle: Thank God, His Grace is greater than our greed
Luke 12: 13-21 and Psalm 107: 1- 9, 43
How does greed block our new life in Jesus Christ? Did you know greed is a tough subject matter that is really hard to preach about but I thank God for His grace. I think it’s tough because greed is sneaky and it just seems to take over. The newspaper headlines declare “greed is a virus,” and it spreads like wildflowers. Although it takes over, there is something and someone greater than greed. His name is Jesus and he offers us grace, love and newness daily through salvation. Are we ignoring newness because greed is blocking with permission?
Our reflection today is titled “what’s stored up at your house?” However, the lesson behind the title is “Thank God, His grace is greater than our greed.” Thank God, grace overrides greed.” Keep that thought up front in your mind, as we explore the following passages Psalm 107: 1-9, 43 and Luke 12: 13-21. Please listen to these passages. This is the Word of God for the People of God!
