What are we expecting “come and experience” at Nu Faith Community UMC to mean?
The journey begins now! These Core Values and the community needs will help define and shape the ministry direction at Nu Faith Community. Ask yourself, what do Radical Hospitality and Extravagant Generosity really mean to me? How will we live these values out at Nu Faith Community? As we start this new faith community, consider these as working definitions and scriptures to build upon:

Passionate Worship - Psalm 84: 1-2
We provide opportunities for people to encounter God through worship. To do so, we shift from routine or habitual worship to life-changing worship.

Radical Hospitality - Hebrews 13: 1-2
We intentionally welcome the stranger with open minds, open hearts, open doors.

Extravagant Generosity - 2 Corinthians 9: 7-11
We faithfully uphold our commitment to support the church with our prayers, presence and gifts. We selfless give of ourselves spiritually and financially to build the kingdom of God.

Faith Forming Relationships - Hebrews 10: 25
We create communities that build up believers. We often accomplish this through small group ministries.

Risk-taking Mission and Service - Matthew 25: 35-40
We step out of our comfort zone to serve and minister to others. Risk-taking mission and service calls us into the mission field.

Connectional Ministry - Colossians 3: 12-18
We activate the strength of the United Methodist denominational connection by partnering with United Methodists locally, nationally and globally.

Fervent Prayer and Diligent Study of Scripture - Acts 2: 42, Colossians 4: 2-6
We undergird everything we do with prayer and the word of God.
